Dr John Paul Kawalek

Dr. Kawalek’s professional background is in Management Consulting working in the IT sector with organisations such as IBM, Lotus, Jaeger Group, British Oxygen; also in the public sector working for DFID, & with French government departments, National Health Service and Utilities.
Dr. Kawalek holds the position of Director at the Global ThinkTank Institute in the USA and also developed and now chairs the ‘European Business Growth Catalyst’ – which is designed as a learning programme for SME owners and managers, who are seeking to initiate and sustain growth.
Dr. Kawalek’s work at the University of Sheffield is at the forefront of managerial knowledge, and challenges some of the traditional approaches and methods in management by focussing on bridging the gap between theory and practice, which supports the way that Impact8 approaches SME development.
